I have always used photography as a means of self-expression. I have been creating photographic images since I first picked up a camera many years ago.

Along the way, I worked as a portrait photographer as well as creating photographic images for the Fine Art publishing market. After retiring from teaching High School Photography, I have enjoyed rediscovering my love of photography.

My choice of subject comes from a place of intuition and is fueled by the desire to capture a simple moment. My goal is for the photographs to convey a feeling of meditative simplicity.

I make photographs for myself, to identify hidden qualities in my character, to better understand my reality, and to express my interpretation of the world around me.

I often work in a series which allows me to investigate a subject thoroughly before moving on to another.

Recently, I have begun to work with images that I have shot while traveling, attempting to illustrate simple, evocative scenery as a motif to epitomize my idea of beauty. A reminder that what I create through the viewfinder is an expression of my unique vision.

Photography has always been very personal to me. I use it to document and to explore the world around me and record those experiences to share with others.
